Are you a parent with a child that has food allergies? Do you feel nervous eating out with your child? Or leaving your child with a carer who provides meals for them?

Our research survey in the UK and our work with a paediatric dietitian has helped us to understand the most common food allergies in children. With this helpful insight from a group of 50+ allergy parents, we have created a practical, customisable and affordable Food Allergy Alert Card which can be kept in your purse or bag. Included with each card is a sheet of stickers covering 10 of these common food allergens so that you can add the relevant stickers to your card (space for 7 stickers per card).

It is designed to:

COMMUNICATE your child’s allergies when eating out. This card can be used to assist you with communicating your child's food allergies to staff and/or the chef to check what foods and meals are suitable for them to eat.

REMIND family members and carers what your child is allergic to when eating out of the home or when buying food.

DIRECT people to your child’s allergy action plan and list of emergency contacts e.g EpiPen if needed.

The allergy alert card is available to purchase in 1, 2, 3 and 4 packs, so that any immediate family can also have one to keep. Each allergy box contains:

  • An allergy alert card
  • A set of food allergy stickers with visual pictures
  • A permanent marker* (multi-packs have one pen per box)
  • A clear sleeve for protection*

Food Allergens Covered On The Stickers:

  • Milk / Dairy
  • Egg
  • Peanut
  • Wheat
  • Soya
  • Sesame
  • Tree Nuts
  • Fish
  • Seafood / Shellfish
  • Legumes

*Product Tips: We wanted to create a card that could both be folded into your purse or wallet, yet with enough space to allow the relevant information to be added. The card material is a gloss laminated card, which therefore requires a permanent marker pen for any written areas.
Test out the pen on paper first to make sure that the ink is flowing. It is recommended to put the tip of the pen upside down for 5-10 minutes to warm the pen up.  Please allow sufficient time for the ink to dry before use. We have provided a small clear sleeve to help store and protect the card and to reduce any pen transferring.

WARNING: This product, pen & packaging is intended for use by adults only. Choking Hazard: this product contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3 years or for use by children.

!!! Disclaimer: These cards are an aid to help with remembering and communicating allergies and are intended for use by parents and / or carers. It is the individual / carer's responsibility to ensure that all allergies are correctly communicated. My First Flavours and Mummy Nutrition cannot accept any responsibility for any matters arising from the use of these cards. Please always make sure that any areas written on the card with permanent marker pen are frequently checked to ensure that it is still clear to read (including cards that you have given to carers). Please always make sure that you stay up to date with the latest allergy information and check that all of your allergy alert cards are up to date. Not all food allergens are covered on our sticker sheets. !!!
